MMT SCHOLARSHIPS

Meadowvale Music Theatre is proud to support the next generation of performing artists through our annual Scholarship for Excellence in the Performing Arts. These scholarships are awarded to talented and dedicated high school students who reside in Mississauga and are pursuing post-secondary education in a performing arts discipline. We are looking for well-rounded individuals with a passion for not only the arts, but the spirit of community theatre.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE 

 

​A successful applicant,

  • Must be a graduating high school student

  • Must have done a MMT show or have been involved with MMT within the four years they’ve attended high school, or received community hours with MMT working backstage

  • Must be entering post-secondary studies in the Performing Arts, which may include:

    • Music

    • Dance

    • Drama

    • Technical/Production aspects of theatre

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS

To apply you must complete the  Application Form and send the following via email to meadowvalemusictheatre@gmail.com

  • A 250–500 word Letter of Introduction outlining your background, interests, and aspirations in the performing arts. This can be either on stage or backstage experience.

  • A  Personal Video detailing why you are a viable candidate for this scholarship. This may include:

    • Your artistic accomplishments and experiences

    • How the performing arts have impacted your life

    • Your future goals in the field

    • The video should be no more than 3 minutes in length

    • You may also include photos, or videos of performances, or other things you wish to include ie: makeup, costume or set sketches etc. 

  • A Letter of Endorsement from a current high school teacher or someone who has mentored you outside of school (preferably in the arts), that:

    • Highlights your ability and dedication to the performing arts

    • Speaks to your character and commitment

    • Is emailed to meadowvalemusictheatre@gmail.com with the applicants name in the subject
