CAST

HUNTER AQUINO  |  Donkey

Hunter (he/they) is thrilled to return to the MMT Youth Company for Shrek Jr. as Donkey! His previous shows include MMTYC’s Beetlejuice Jr. as Lydia, and most recently MMT’s Mainstage production of Sweeney Todd as Tobias. Hunter thanks his friends, family, and especially his older sibling for their support in his theatre journey. He’s incredibly grateful to the cast and crew for creating a community where he felt at home. Enjoy the show!

AVA MARIE BELLUZ  | Princess Fiona

Ava is extremely grateful for her first opportunity to work with MMTYC in their production of Shrek Jr.! She is a Grade 10 student from Waterdown who has been adoring the theatre since the age of 8. Ava would like to thank her family, friends, cast and crew for their support and encouragement. She hopes you enjoy this big bright beautiful show!

MADELYN BROOKS  |  Young Fiona, Dwarf, Baby Ogre

Ten-year-old Madelyn is thrilled to perform in Shrek The Musical Jr. with MMYTC, her second production with the company. Previous credits include Moana Jr., Frozen Jr., Beetlejuice Jr., and Newsies Jr. Outside of theatre, she is a competitive swimmer with MSSAC and loves hockey. Madelyn is so excited to be part of this musical and hopes you enjoy the show!

ELLA BURROWS  |  Ensemble, Pig 1, Duloc/Morning Person Dancer

Ella is excited to join the cast of Shrek Jr. in her first production with MMTYC. A 14-year-old performer who loves singing, storytelling, and the stage, she is thrilled to trade ordinary life for fairy-tale chaos as one of the Three Little Pigs. She is grateful to the cast, crew, and production team for welcoming her into the swamp—reminded that the best productions, like onions, have layers.

NIM ELBULUK  |  Ensemble, Big Bad Wolf, Duloc/Morning Person Dancer

Nim is a Grade 11 student who is excited to join MMTYC in this production of Shrek the Musical Jr. Nim previously played Marilla in a production of Anne of Green Gables The Musical and is currently playing a lead role in their school’s original production, The School: Bored of Education. Nim is excited and honoured to be a part of this musical alongside so many talented individuals!

IRENE FADEL  |  Ensemble, Ugly Duckling, Knight

Irene is a Grade 5 student excited to be playing Ugly Duckling and a Duloc Knight in MMT’s Youth Production of Shrek Jr. This is her second performance with MMTYC, after appearing in the ensemble of Beetlejuice Jr. Irene loves singing and dancing wherever she goes, playing piano, crafting, and baking delicious treats. She is very grateful for her loved ones’ support and honoured to be part of the OGRE SQUAD!

LEA FONG-SHEPHARD  |  Ensemble, Fairytale Creature, Morning Person Dancer

Lea is excited to be performing in her very first musical with MMTYC! She's thrilled to be part of such an incredible production and the Shrek Jr. family. Lea is in Grade 5 and loves all things creative. She studies dance, vocals, piano, and is also an avid crafter. She’s thankful to her family and friends for their support as she embarks on this new theatre journey! Random fun fact: She’s the Queen of Tetris!

SADIE GILLINGHAM  |  Ensemble, Papa Bear, Knight

Sadie is excited to be part of her first production with MMTYC, Shrek Jr. She loves the fun, energetic, and welcoming community. Her past credits include Oliver! and Annie with Theatre Unlimited Performing Arts. Outside of theatre, she enjoys singing with friends, playing guitar, and discovering new songs she loves to play.

ALLIE HANNA  |  Ensemble, Wicked Witch, Duloc/Morning Person Dancer

Allie is thrilled to be joining Meadowvale Musical Theatre for the first time. Allie is a talented dancer who has trained in jazz, ballet, hip hop, contemporary, and musical theatre. She takes acting classes at the Hamilton Conservatory of the Arts and this summer she’ll travel to New York City for the American Academy of Dramatic Arts summer program. Allie is grateful to her family and friends and the Shrek Jr team for all their support.

BLYTHE HARVEY  |   Pinocchio, Morning Person Dancer

Blythe is a Grade 8 student and is ecstatic to be a part of Shrek Jr. She has been in the past two shows with MMTYC as Barbara in Beetlejuice Jr. and The Witch in Into The Woods Jr. Blythe has been doing theatre since she was 10 and hopes to do it for life! Thanks to the cast and team for this opportunity and she hopes you let your Freak Flag wave!

HENRY JOHNSTON  |  Ensemble, Captain of the Guard, Puss ‘n’ Boots

Henry attends Homelands Senior Public School as a Grade 8 student and is looking forward to starting at Cawthra Park Secondary School next year. He plays the euphonium (mini tuba) and this is his second year as a cast member for an MMTYC musical. He's super excited to be here and hopes you enjoy the show!

CHLOE WALLACE LAMB  |  Ensemble, Mama Ogre, Duloc/Morning Person Dancer

Chloe  is so excited to be performing again with Meadowvale Music Theatre. Chloe is in Grade 8, and in September will be attending Mayfield Music Vocal Program. She is currently training at Gabriela’s Voice Studio and Music Nova. Chloe would like to thank her family and friends for supporting her. She would also like to thank the creative team, cast and crew of Shrek Jr. She hopes you enjoy the show!

ELOISE LAVALLEE ANDRADE  |  Ensemble, Baby Bear, Duloc Dancer

Eloise, 9, is thrilled to join MMTYC's production of Shrek Jr.! Having performed in Annie, Beetlejuice Jr. and several school plays, Eloise loves the stage. When not performing, she stays active with gymnastics, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, karate, singing and playing piano. Eloise sends many thanks to the cast and crew of Shrek Jr. for this opportunity, and is grateful to her family for their constant love and support as she pursues her passion!

ANNA LEE  |  Ensemble, Fairytale Creature, Guard

Anna is thrilled to be back on stage as the fairytale creature in Shrek Jr. with Meadowvale Music Theatre Youth Company. She has shown her interests in various arts such as being part of the school choir, dance team, and in the shows Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Oliver. She also benefits from learning piano, violin and Irish dance for performing the musicals. Anna would like to thank her family for their support and encouragement.

STELLA LEONETTI  |  Teen Fiona, Morning Person Dancer, Bishop

Stella is a 12-year-old vocalist and emerging performer with an RCM Honours Level 4 in voice. She has studied music since age 9, developing strong technique and confidence on stage. Stella has played lead roles including Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Lord Farquaad in Shrek, and Anna in Frozen with Little Star Productions. She also headlined Couture for a Cause, a Rogers charity event, for two consecutive years. Passionate about theatre, Stella is excited to join MMT’s Shrek Jr.

ALEXANDER MELKOUMIAN  |  Gingy, Baby Shrek, Knight

This is Alexander’s first time performing in a musical! He is very excited to put a smile on everyone's face in his roles as Gingy, Baby Shrek, and a Knight! He'd like to thank everyone for coming to see Shrek the Musical Jr. and is so grateful to the production team for giving him this exciting opportunity to be a Believer in this Big Bright Beautiful World! BITE ME!

NOAH PACE  |   Shrek

Noah is thrilled to be in his third MMT youth production. Select credits include; The Drowsy Chaperone (Man in Chair), Beetlejuice Jr. (Beetlejuice), The Little Mermaid (Prince Eric), The Sound of Music (Friedrich), Matilda (Tommy), and The Full Monty (Nathan). Noah would like to thank his parents for all their support, and the creative team for giving him this opportunity. He’s loved working with this cast, and he hopes you all enjoy the show!

AZELIA PATINIOS  |  Ensemble, Pig 3, Guard, Duloc Dancer 

Azelia has been performing for 7 years and still can’t get enough of the stage. She is in her fourth year with MYTP, where she has grown as a performer and met some of her closest friends. Azelia also takes vocal lessons and occasionally trains in dance. She is excited to be part of Shrek Jr! and would like to thank her theatre friends, and her directors for their support!

KATIE RAAKMAN  |  Ensemble, Mama Bear, Blind Mouse

Katie is delighted to be a part of MMTYC’s wonderful production of Shrek Jr. She has had so much fun singing, acting, and dancing alongside the amazing cast and crew. Her previous credits include; Into the woods Jr. (MMTYC), School of Rock (EMP), High School Musical Jr. (Globe), and most recently Annie (TUPA). Enjoy the show!

BROOKE REEVES  |  Ogre Fiona, Storyteller, Duloc Dancer, Papa Ogre

Brooke is thrilled to join this storybook cast of characters for Shrek the Musical Jr. at Meadowvale Music Theatre. She has performed in a variety of musicals - including Beetlejuice Jr, Mean Girls, Disney's Descendants, Seussical the Musical and Anne of Green Gables - near and far, far away in Canada, the U.S. and Ireland. Brooke is forever grateful to her family for all their love and support in this big, bright, beautiful world!

MINAYA REVELPULLE  |  Dragon, Morning Person Dancer

Minaya is a Grade 11 student who is returning for her second show with MMTYC. She studies Classical and Musical Theatre vocals with Mississauga Piano Studios. She is incredibly passionate about singing and is excited to showcase her talents alongside the talented cast and crew. She thanks her friends, family, and community for their continuing support.

RYAN RILEY  |  Ensemble, Peter Pan, Knight

Ryan is a Grade 9 Drama major at Mayfield SS. He would like to thank his family for all their support. He enjoys baseball and chess. Ryan is super excited to be in his third MMTYC production.

CLAIRE RODRIGUES  |  Ensemble, Guard, Pig 2, Blind Mouse

Claire is so excited to be part of the fairytale crew in Shrek Jr.! She has performed with MMTYC in Beetlejuice Jr. (Sky) and Into the Woods Jr. (Little Red). Claire studies piano and classical voice and is a provincial finalist this year. She is very thankful for this opportunity and gives a big shout out to all her family and friends for their support!

OLIVIA ROUSSOS  |  Ensemble, Guard, Fairytale Creature, Blind Mouse

Olivia is thrilled to once again be performing with MMT's Youth Company in Shrek Jr. She previously appeared in MMTYC's 2025 production of Beetlejuice Jr. She is also part of the theatre group at her school performing Frozen this year, and The Little Mermaid the year prior. Olivia is in Grade 7 and loves sports, art, reading, and acting. She would like to thank her family and friends and the entire MMT team for their support.  

SOPHIE RYCKMAN-BURGESS  |  Lord Farquaad

Sophie is a Grade 12 student who is overjoyed to be a part of the MMT family yet again. Shrek Jr will be her 14th musical she has been a part of, most recently seen in MMTYC’s Beetlejuice Jr. and Into the Woods Jr., and BMT's Newsies Jr. Sophie is eternally thankful for her family’s endless support on her theatrical journey and to the MMT company for supporting her in her final Jr production, and for this great opportunity. Stay calm and Shrek on, the show's about to start!

ARTISTIC AND PRODUCTION TEAMS

ERICA ASTLES | Producer

Erica is happy as always to help out with MMT Jr. Having grown up on the Meadowvale stage for over 30 years, she enjoys performing on stage and conducting in the pit. She is most excited to be here to provide opportunities for youth that she didn't have and watch her daughter Blythe get to be a part of it!

LAURA CARNEY | Choreographer

Laura is thrilled to return for her third year choreographing with MMTYC. She would like to recognize the dedication and hard work of the cast, crew, and creative team who have brought Shrek JR. to the stage. Laura continues to be inspired by the talent within this Youth Company, and finds it incredibly rewarding to watch these kids absolutely shine as they bring the team’s vision to life.

NICOLE CHAFE | Props/Set Dressing

Nicole is super excited to join the crew of Shrek doing her favourite thing in the world, making props. Previous MMT shows include "Beauty and the Beast" and "Sweeney Todd". Special thanks to her cats Nixon and Felix for prop quality control and inspection. Enjoy the show!

SHARON CHAMBERS | Stage Manager

Sharon is excited to be back with MMTYC for its third youth production and would like to congratulate everyone involved in Shrek Jr., especially the talented young cast who are sure to amaze you as they sing and dance their way across the stage. From the adventures in the swamp to the lively moments in Duloc, this fun-filled musical is packed with energy, humour, and familiar fairytale characters brought to life. So sit back, relax, and enjoy what is sure to be a truly “swamp-rific” show!

DONNA FEGGANS | Producer

Donna is thrilled to return as Producer for MMTYC’s third production, Shrek Jr. She has served on the Board of Directors for over 25 years and has produced more than 20 musicals. Watching these talented children learn, support one another, and truly enjoy the process is incredibly rewarding. Sharing this passion with her daughter, Erica, and her granddaughter, Blythe, makes the experience even more special. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this production possible. These children are the future of community theatre—please continue to support the arts! Always in memory of Doug.

For many years, it has been Wendy’s dream to be part of a community theatre youth program that fosters, mentors, and inspires young performers, new artistic team members, and backstage crew, while creating magic both on and off the stage. Bringing a youth musical production to life takes countless hours, creative minds, and many helping hands, and Wendy is continually amazed and deeply honoured to work alongside such a dedicated and talented team. Their passion, commitment, and heart shine through in every aspect of the production, making it possible to bring these incredible experiences to the stage year after year!

CRAIG MARSHALL | Producer

Craig is thrilled to be co-producer for MMTYC’s third production, Shrek Jr. He has directed several productions with Meadowvale Music Theatre including Beauty and the Beast, Into the Woods, Matilda, Mary Poppins and most recently, Sweeney Todd. Craig loves the opportunity to support these young thespians and the creative team that shaped this production.

Katie is so happy to be back working with MMT on Shrek Jr! Having performed and volunteered within the Encore Series for over 15 years, she has loved watching this new generation of performers step into the spotlight and is constantly amazed by their talent. Enjoy the show!

RACHEL RAAKMAN | Assistant Stage Manager

After operating the spotlight for the previous MMT Youth productions, Rachel is excited to step into the role of ASM for Shrek Jr. She feels so blessed to work alongside such an incredible creative team and talented cast, including her sister Katie.
